Why is it called Spaghetti Dinner Club?
Years ago, my wife and I invited a few guys from the college worship band over on a Monday night to just hang. No agenda—just good company and a meal. We were broke, so we made spaghetti—one step above Ramen. One of the guys offered to bring a salad. Another grabbed some soda. Another, garlic bread.
The next week, we did it again—same spaghetti, same simple plan. And the week after that, and the one after that. Over time, they started bringing their girlfriends, their buddies, even their co-workers. The food may have been a little over or under-cooked, but the laughter was always loud, and the conversations ran deep.
What started as a few Monday night dinners turned into a year of shared meals, real friendships, and a community that lasted over a decade. We walked through highs and lows together, and some of my most fond memories were made around that table.
And it all started with a simple plate of spaghetti.
In the fall of 2020, after 10 years in Arizona, my family packed up and lef for Denver Colorado. The group threw us one last dinner and wore black because we were dead to them, lol. I’ll love these people forever. The OG Spaghetti Dinner Club(quite a few legacy members over the years.)
